Always remember one thing: healthy glowing skin comes from within. Applying skin care products will only enhance the upper layer of the skin. Therefore, it’s important to maintain a well-balanced diet for glowing healthy skin. To maintain a healthy diet, you need to eat a wide variety of nutritious foods and avoid eating unhealthy junk foods including oily and deep-fried foods. But the question here is, what are those foods that we should eat?

So, here are the following foods that you should add to the diet:

  1. Fatty fish

The first food is fatty fish such as salmon and mackerel which are great sources of omega-3. Fatty acids are very beneficial because they make the skin soft and glowing. Fatty fish is rich in protein and zinc; the nutrients in it strengthen the skin and improve the production of new skin cells. Other benefits are they reduce inflammation, pimples, and redness, and strengthen the skin against UVB and UVA rays.

 Other than containing fatty acids, these foods are packed with vitamin E and antioxidants that protect your skin from allergies, irritation, and radical activities that could increase your skin age faster; and could cause acne and wrinkles.

  1. Walnuts

The second food that you should eat is “Nuts.”  Nuts are a great pack of nutrients that contain vitamins E and C, zinc, and selenium. All these will give you healthy glowing skin. Even a small dose of nuts is full of benefits.

The percentage of omega-3 and omega-6 is higher in walnuts than the fatty acids which makes nuts an extra healthy choice. For healthy glowing skin, it’s important to intake one handful (1/4 cup) of nuts a day. However, eating too many walnuts can cause certain adverse effects like bloating, stomach pain, and skin allergies.

After the nuts Seeds are very helpful because they are rich in linoleic acid which gives moisture and plumpness to your skin.

  1. Carrots

Carrots have so many benefits it improves your eyesight, control your sugar level, and reduce the risk of cancer. In addition to that carrots are great for the skin as well because they are rich in vitamin A which helps fight against sunburns and wrinkles.

Other than that, Vitamin A also adds a warm glowing effect to your skin. You can consume Vitamin A through different fruits, vegetables, and other plant-based products. Vitamin A is also found in oranges, sweet potatoes, spinach, broccoli pumpkin, bell peppers, etc.

Treating yourself once in a while with a sweet treat is not a bad idea and if you want to reward yourself, it’s like a blessing. So, here is a great reason dark chocolates are very beneficial for the skin: they contain cocoa powder and a bunch of antioxidants. Those antioxidants keep your skin hydrated and smooth.

Everyone knows that fruits are very important for healthy glowing skin, and avocado is one of the healthiest fruits that keep your skin moisturised and firm. Avocado contains vitamins C and E-2 which are the two most important nutrients that the body needs to support healthy skin.

Avocados also contain biotin, vitamin B, and some nutrients that will make the skin and hair healthy. A deficiency of biotin in the body can cause skin problems like rashes, psoriasis aches, dermatitis, and itchiness.
